Sophie Pascale

Sophie Pascale is an AI Growth Specialist at the World Bank's Development Impact AI Lab, where she works at the intersection of AI and international development. She brings a background in multilateral diplomacy from prior roles across the UN system, including the FAO and IFAD, before moving into AI-for-development work. At the World Bank, she works on growth for a portfolio of AI tools, including ZeroHungerAI (ZHAI), a news-based food insecurity forecasting system deployed across 82 countries, and ImpactAI, a causal evidence synthesis platform built on 7,700+ RCTs. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Law and an MA in International Relations.
